Meet Spurious George. What a funny monkey! He
runs the country ~ at least that’s what we tell him. He eats a lot of bananas, but he has to stay away from pretzels
since he tried eating one that nearly killed him.
Ever since Spurious George came across a couple of wires and became intrigued by them, he has learned to tap those wires. I have given him permission to tap those wires. Tap, tap, tap. He’s busy night and day now, tapping those wires. Aren’t monkeys funny! They can be amused by the same repetitive thing for a long time after most of us would lose interest!

Spurious George wants to make a big puff of smoke come out of the ground in Nevada
 later this year. Won’t that be
simply divine? I wonder how long it will take for the novelty of that to wear off. There are only a few places in
our vast country where he can make big puffs of smoke, so I have a feeling he will eventually go overseas to someone else's
desert to make his big puffs of smoke.
Sometimes Spurious George talks too much and says things that are really supposed to be secrets. Oops. Bad Spurious George!!! When he does that, it’s usually my job to tell the American people that it’s OK because Spurious George is allowed to leak secrets if he wants to. | |
