Meet Condi the Cat. She’s always smiling like
the Cheshire Cat, even when bad things happen. Like when Spurious George started a fight in another country and got many
of his friends from other circuses involved, and lots and lots of people got very badly hurt in the fight and went to
heaven. Many families were sad because this happened, but my friend Condi kept smiling through it all.
Even now, when some very angry people say Spurious George told some very bad lies and that’s how the big fight got started, Condi smiles and tells lies. Cats are good at making up lies because they are very sly and sneaky creatures. Condi also hides things for Spurious George. What kind of things? Oh, the truth, for instance. That’s why he likes her so much. Condi smiles a lot. I smile a lot too. When we smile, people always believe what we tell them. And when they believe us, we smile all the more. It’s a fun game. |
